Library Tours

Date: Wednesday 1 September 2010
Time: from 8.00am - Click here for detailed timings
Venue: All full day tours depart and conclude from the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Mini Tours
(Tour 1) commence at the information desk of the library.
Catering: Morning Tea and Lunch will be provided for Tours 2 - 8

Booking Process: Participation on one library tour is included in all full Conference registrations. Please indicate your intention to attend the tours during the registration process.

Tour 1 – Mini Tours

Time: 9.00am, 10.00am, 11.00am, 12.00noon, 1.00pm, 2.00pm or 3.00pm
Transport: Walking Tour. Please meet at the information desk of the library.
Visit: 30 – 50 minute tours of the following libraries will take place at each on the listed libraries commencing at the above times.
  • Queensland University of Technology Library
  • Brisbane City Council, Brisbane Square Library
  • State Library of Queensland
Tour 2 – CBD Guided Tours (Fully Booked)

Time: 8.45am - 4.00pm
Transport: Walking Tour
Maximum Participants: 40
Visit:
  • Queensland University of Technology Library
  • Brisbane City Council, Brisbane Square Library
  • State Library of Queensland
  • Southbank Institute of Technology Library
Tour 3 – Public Libraries of Brisbane and North Regional Areas

Time: 8.45am - 4.15pm
Transport: Bus Tour
Maximum Participants: 40
Visit:
  • Brisbane City Council, Chermside Library
  • Moreton Bay Regional Council, Pathways Library
  • Moreton Bay Regional Council, Redcliffe
Tour 4 – Public Libraries of Brisbane and South Regional Areas

Time: 8.45am - 4.15pm
Transport: Bus Tour
Maximum Participants: 40
Visit:
  • Logan City Council, Logan North Library
  • Redland City Council, Victoria Point Library
  • Brisbane City Council, Garden City Library
Tour 5 – Gold Coast Libraries

Time: EARLY START 8.00am – 4.15pm
Transport: Bus Tour
Maximum Participants: 40

  • Bond University Library
  • Gold Coast City Council, Broadbeach Library
  • Gold Coast City Council, Southport Library
  • Griffith University Gold Coast Campus Library
Tour 6 – University of Queensland Health Libraries (Fully Booked)

Time: 8.45am - 4.30pm
Transport: Bus Tour
Maximum Participants: 20
