How to get to the Gold
Coast

From the Brisbane Airport
Distance/approximate time to Convention Centre from airport.................90km/70minutes
AirtrainConnect Service
This train service stops at both the international and domestic terminals.
It operates twice hourly, between the hours of 5.35am & 8.02pm Monday
to Friday, and 6.02am & 8.02pm on Saturday and Sunday. The train goes
directly to the Gold Coast (Robina Station) where you can catch a taxi
to your accommodation or the Convention Centre. The cost is $18 per adult
one way (another option is the train ticket with limousine transfer which
costs $35 one way). Tickets can be purchased at the stations - follow
the signs in the airports.

Coachtrans Shuttle Buses
The shuttle will go directly from the airport to the hotel. It operates
every 45 minutes between the hours of 6.15am and 11.00pm daily. The cost
is $35 one way or $65 return. Tickets can be purchased at the Coachtrans
counters at both the international and domestic terminals.

Taxi
Taxi ranks are located along various points at the Domestic Terminal and
on Arrivals Level 2 at the International Terminal. The approximate cost
to the Gold Coast is $100 - $150.
Car Hire
Within the airports are agents for Avis, Budget, Hertz, National and Thrifty.
Car hire costs are highly variable, but range upward from approximately
$80 per day. Brisbane Airport is connected directly by motorway to the
Gold Coast.
From the Coolangatta/Gold Coast Airport
Distance/approximate time to Convention Centre from airport.................30km/25mins
Gold Coast Tourist Shuttle
The shuttle service meets every flight landing at the airport and will
take you directly to your accommodation. The cost is $14 per adult one
way. Tickets can be purchased at the Gold Coast Tourist Shuttle counters
inside both the international and domestic terminals.

Taxi
Follow the signs in the airport to the taxi rank outside. The approximate
cost to the Convention Centre and surrounding accommodation is $30.
Car Hire

Where
to stay at the Gold Coast
Premium rates have been negotiated for Conference delegates at different
levels of accommodation surrounding the Conference Venue. All
prices are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of 10% GST.

Conrad Jupiters Hotel (5 Star)
Single/Double/Twin Room $180 per room per night
Conrad Jupiters is superbly located with sweeping views across the Pacific
Ocean to the east and the Hinterland to the west. Connected to the Gold
Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre by a covered walkway, the hotel
is not only luxurious but also convenient. All rooms feature colour and
cable TV, in-house movies, internet connection, in-room safes and facsimile
facility, mini-bar, complimentary tea and coffee facilities and daily
newspaper, air conditioning and hairdryer. Conrad Jupiters also have an
array of hotel facilities including swimming pools, Conrad Fitness Gymnasium
and Health Centre, a 15 acre walking track, steam room, spas and massage
service.
Grand Mercure Broadbeach (4 Star)
Single/Double/Twin Room $155 per room per night
As per this hotel’s policy, a non-refundable deposit of
one night’s accommodation is applicable 30 days prior to check-in.
The Grand Mercure Broadbeach, located in the heart of cosmopolitan Broadbeach,
has direct beach access and adjoins Oasis Shopping Centre. Broadbeach
is home to an eclectic collection of over 70 cafes and is only a 20 minute
drive from Coolangatta Airport and an hour from Brisbane. Connected by
monorail to Jupiters Casino and linked to the Gold Coast Convention and
Exhibition Centre, the Grand Mercure Broadbeach is perfectly placed. All
rooms feature air conditioning, spacious marble bathrooms, private balconies,
colour TV and movie channels, tea and coffee making facilities, in-room
safes, and hairdryer and ironing facilities.
Crowne Plaza (4 1/2 star)
Single/Double/Twin Room Only $135 per room per night
Single/Double/Twin Room inc. one breakfast $147 per room per night

The Crowne Plaza Hotel offer its guests superb facilities including shops,
a hair salon and day spa, two swimming pools with spas, tennis court,

The Four Winds, 26 floors above the glittering Gold Coast. The spacious

Savannah Resort (4 Star)
One Bedroom Apartment $159 per apartment per night
Two Bedroom Apartment $213 per apartment per night
Please note, rates are based on a five night minimum stay.
The newly-built Savannah Resort boasts a range of new facilities and features
that include African theming throughout. Conveniently located in the heart
of Broadbeach, each room features brand new furnishings, spa baths, air
conditioning and kitchen and laundry facilities. Resort facilities include

Peninsula Resort (4 star)
Two Bedroom Apartment $234.00 per apartment per night
Please note, rate is based on a five night minimum stay.
The Peninsula Resort is located 3 blocks south of Cavill Avenue in Surfers
Paradise (approx. 5 minute drive to the Convention Centre) and directly
opposite the beach. All the apartments have ocean views, cable TV available,
in room safes, security access. Resort facilities include 3 swimming pools
(heated indoor & outdoor), children’s playground & toddler’s
wading pool, heated spa & sauna, 1 full and half size tennis court,
squash court, 4 BBQ areas, free undercover security parking, seafood restaurant
and 24 hour security and reception.
Please note that all accommodation rates are listed in Australian dollars and are valid for the Conference only if booked through Ozaccom. All rates are GST inclusive. A deposit equivalent to one night’s accommodation, or your credit card details as a guarantee are required by the hotel to secure your booking. Cancellation in whole or in part less than 10 days prior to arrival may incur a cost penalty at the venue’s discretion.
