The venue

Techs at the Top will be held on the Casuarina Campus of the Northern Territory University.

Casuarina Campus is 13 km from the city and set in tropical green surroundings. It is within walking distance of a major shopping centre, banking and postal facilities. Transport is available from within the University grounds to both the shopping centre and Darwin city.

The University is the major tertiary education institution in the Northern Territory, providing a wide range of both higher education and technical and further education courses. It is one of Australia's newest universities with a student population of almost 9000.

A special feature of the Northern Territory University is its closeness to Asia. The nearest universities to Darwin are in Indonesia and the important links are being developed between NTU and the countries of the Southeast Asian region.

Techs Expo

• Techs Expo will be officially opened by the Hon. Steve Hatton, MLA, Northern Territory Minister for Libraries during the morning tea break on Wednesday 12 July.
• Sixteen exhibitors have indicated they will attend the trade exhibition and we hope you will give them your support.
• Provides us with the opportunity to see demonstrations of the latest tools of the library trade. There will be a variety of displays from technology to books and serials from Australia and Indonesia.
• A Top End tour will be won by a delegate visiting the exhibition and another by the best exhibitor.

Technology playground

For the technician who has always wanted to surf the Net or search CDs. This provides hands on access to some of the things you have read about, heard about, but perhaps are not yet using in your library.

Conference proceedings

Proceedings can be preordered, either on the registration form or at the conference, at a special Conference rate of $20. Post Conference rate is $30.
