neXt 2005: ALIA National Library and Information Technicians Conference

Tours - Tuesday 6th September

At the neXt 2005 Conference the whole of Tuesday 6th September has been set aside for Tours and Satellite Events. This allows delegates to pick and mix the types of Libraries they want to visit right across Sydney. While most of the Tours are located in the Sydney CBD area, a number of Outer Sydney Tours are available which showcase a variety of Libraries and other institutions.

The neXt 2005 Industry Tours are offered on a pick and mix basis. Due to limited numbers for each visit, delegates must indicate 1st and 2nd tour preferences on the Registration form. You can attend more than one tour. You may, for example choose to do a bus tour in the morning, and a CBD Library tour (or two!) in the afternoon, or vice versa. The choice is yours!

Conference representatives will meet delegates at each tour point in the city. For delegates going on the Outer Sydney Tours the bus pick up point is behind Harbourside Shopping Centre, at Darling Harbour. For delegates on the Sydney CBD Tours Maps will be provided prior to the day.

Every effort is made to fill requests however this cannot be guaranteed. If minimum attendance numbers are not reached some tours may be cancelled. You will be notified if this occurs.

Delegates are encouraged to check out each library's website to better plan their tours itinerary.

In addition to the Tours delegates are directed to the Registration brochure for details of the excellent series of Satellite Events being run on the Day.
