Reviewed papers policy
The ALIA New Librarians’ Symposium 2006 committee will endeavour to follow this policy to ensure that reviewed papers at the symposium meet Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST) guidelines:
- Ensure that the conference is of national or international significance and that there is proof of this: NLS2006 meets this by being sponsored by ALIA and drawing delegates from across Australia
- Arrange a peer review process for the papers, and ensure that full papers are reviewed (not just abstracts): NLS2006 will meet this for papers selecting the review option
- Publish the proceedings in paper or electronic format, and ensure that the proceedings indicate that all papers were peer reviewed: NLS2006 will publish all full papers on the website and archive them in ALIA e-prints, where authors have given their permission. Reviewed papers will be marked.
- Ensure that the date of publication is listed on the conference proceedings: The dates of NLS2006 are clearly marked on the website.
